Many retailers ask about complete/full engine and bare engine. We give a simple explaination how it is in China market.
Generally, a complete engine is a used engine dismantled from a car. It is not new. If you want an used complete engine with transmission (gear box), we will ask you: do you need automatic transmission or manual transmission? yea right. for transmission, automatic or manual is necessary to know before we give you a quote. An used complete engine warranty is 1-3 months after installation.
Bare engine will have many status, depending on which and how many core parts inside. We will show you the pictures. Then you can check how the status look like. It is not like a complete engine that cover everything and run immediately after installing to your car. The bare engine need to be first connected with your old original accessories and then run. The advantage of a bare engine is that it is new and less quality risk than a used one (mileage data can be falsification). The warranty is 1 year. A bare engine is less weight that make the freight lower by air ship.
If you want stable quality and lower price, there is another option - that's remanufactured engine. It comes from a used engine, but all core parts inside are replaced with new and be hot running-in test. The outlook is not that brand new but inside all new and tested. A remanufactured engine price is around 3/4 of a brand new one .
